Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza 2026: Over a Million Lights Downtown

The Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza returns to downtown Macon from Friday, November 27, 2026 through January 3, 2027. More than one million lights stretch across 5.5 city blocks, synchronized to music arranged by Macon Pops.

The season kicks off with an opening concert on Friday, November 27 at 6:00 PM at the intersection of First and Poplar Streets. After opening night, light shows run nightly at the top of every hour from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM — perfect for families, date nights and out-of-town guests.

Bundle up, bring the kids, and plan to catch at least one full show. Arriving a little early makes it easier to find a good viewing spot along the route.
